I opened our online store, deRshop, last week and was warned that not much happens in the beginning and I was ok with that but a week later with no sales on the board, I’m thinking I need a bit of a strategy here. I have done zero marketing except via this blog and then linked articles to twitter, Google Plus, Pinterest and Facebook so the reach is perhaps 150 – 200 people each time across all mediums. Most of what we do is all about marketing your business; Decently Exposed stands exactly for that and we bang on about what you should do but what if we provide our own test case to see if and what really works. Now we are starting from Ground Zero, literally. Our Adwords stats, are humbling for derShop so we can really only go uphill from here (hopefully) or simply flat line.
Next I will provide our stats so far and then we can start to work on strategies. Each Monday I will provide an overview of the stats along with any marketing strategies employed. I am planning to begin with low budget strategies and having just completed The Alchemist by Paul Coehlo, there will be something of the mystic involved too.
