As I mentioned yesterday we are pretty much starting deRshop, our online store, from scratch with a very limited marketing campaign to see what works and what doesn’t work and we are using this blog to share the journey with you. Firstly, deRshop is an online store, featuring a range of products that we have designed or produced and which is an extension of the type of work we have been involved in up until now (client needs-driven). We design around a theme and organise the theme by an event or occasion or purpose. For example: our first theme is ”Aztec – Mexicali” and we have applied this theme to a range of Christmas (occasion|event) fabric decals (which is a signage product)
We have decided to share some vital social media statistics with you having launched our online store just over one week ago without any sort of campaign apart from blogging here about it and sharing those posts on Facebook, Twitter and Google Plus. I have also posted some images on Pinterest.
So here they are, nothing to get excited about YET. We’ve had a few referral visits from this entry page, a couple from facebook and the same again from pinterest with a grand total of 17 visits across the week. Let the marketing journey begin …
The first “w” icon represents visits to our online store url, deRshop.com.au and the rest is self explanatory. Pinterest has rather a large following and is not really about our business, but rather pictorial images that inspire our work and our life, so that statistic is really a following of images we pin and the boards we have created. Pinterest is nonetheless a growing avenue for followers because if they like your style they are likely to click through and find out who you are. Week 1 stats ….
