Aust Shakespeare Co.| Celebrating 21 years.

Wasn’t really going to post anything until we got back on the 11th of Jan, but this little story is a perfect segueway to a wee post for one of our longstanding clients, Mr Glenn Elston & his company,  Australian Shakespeare Company.  So here it goes.  My sister  and her two children were helping a neighbour out with a garage sale  a couple of weeks ago.  Move forward to Christmas Day and two parcels were handed to my sister from her eldest child, Jude who is 8 years of age. Inside were The Complete Works of William Shakespeare bound and in mint condition.  Jude had told not a soul, asked no-one for advice and purchased this and some Chinese silk placemats for the grand total of $10 at that garage sale. It made me think of all the naff last minute gifts we buy each other and here a literary little boy who knows his mum loves Shakespeare had the presence of mind to think mum might like that and bought it.

So who’s for Shakespeare?  Celebrating 21 years at the Royal Botanic Gardens in Melbourne, Australian Shakespeare Company presents A MidSummer Night’s Dream under the stars. From the website ….

This summer’s production of Shakespeare Under The Stars in the Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne is A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The season launches with a special Gala 21st Anniversary performance on Monday 21 December 2009 then runs to 13 March 2010. The Wind in the Willows also returns to Melbourne and Sydney. Pack a picnic, pack the kids and enjoy a great day out in the Royal Botanic Gardens.

We’ve been providing printed media, mainly banners and A boards and lately Pull Ups  to Glenn Elston for at least 13 years to advertise his outdoor theatre in the Royal Botanic Gardens.  Pull Ups for Shakespeare and Young Bards (at the Ath) and A Frames for Wind in the Willows and Midsummer Night’s Dream (not shown here) at the Royal Botanic Gardens.

Signs that stand the test of time

I had an AutoSkin dream …

last night , very sad, I know!  I have been spending so much time on this site lately with a small upgrade and trying to add a back log of campaigns from 2007 and beyond. The idea being that when you guys go searching that your search will yield the right results on AutoSkin.  Anyway back to the dream ~ I was having one of those packing up after a holiday dreams (as you do) and each room kept filling with more stuff like a bookcase full of books that I was never going to read but now have to pack in my car to take home. Sitting amongst all my stuff was a client chatting with some other people (as they would) and he said something like ‘our wool sales have really increased since we advertised using AutoSkin’ (a fictitious client because we haven’t done a woolly one yet). I remember being really happy about that in the dream then went on packing.  You don’t hear too much about what AutoSkin does for a business’ profile but when clients keep coming back you think it must be working.  Maybe subconsciously I really want to know!
