Melbourne Cup Carnival

Decently Exposed have donated a good portion of two AutoSkins to Ritzenhoff to help raise funds for the Alfred Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit. Last year the efforts of Ritzenhoff & the Victorian Racing Club (VRC) through the Pin & Win Competition helped raise $470,000 for the Alfred Hospital via the sale of lapel pins during the Melbourne Cup Carnival

Pins can be ordered online here or at Liquorland outlets and will be on sale during the Emirates Melbourne Cup Day event. By the way taylormadesigns (see site menu button above) are currently working on the Emirates Marquee in collaboration with the preeminent Melbourne Marquee Specialist, Mr Tony Colquhoun (sorry no website). Can’t reveal anything because we don’t think Emirates would be too happy about that, but so far so amazing ….

The Silly Season begins …

It always about this time of year when the weight of an end of year rush starts to bear down. Mind you, we’re not complaining because who knows what the new year will bring but everyone gets a little bit frantic right about now. I’ve got heaps of projects to add from earlier this year and nearly everything before that which coincides with when this new website went live leaving all old content behind. It all has to be added and slowly slowly it will. For the recent stuff, well its Spring in Australia and in Melbourne specifically that means cycling events with the Jayco Herald Sun Tour coming to an end in 2 days time, then the annual Round the Bay event begins on the day the tour ends. We completed 4 different cycling AutoSkins in the last month. Then we move onto the Spring Racing (Horse) Carnival (the Ritzenhoff car featured in the Slideshow is sponsored by the Victorian Racing Club) and taylormadesigns are busy out at the racing track installing signage and printed decals for some corporate marquees in readiness for the biggest horse race in the southern hemisphere, the Melbourne Cup, (4th November, 2008). It’s all pretty exciting with all the good weather on the way and so many wonderful events, and Christmas round the corner and we are very thankful for all the business. We’d be complaining quietly even more if there was no business to be had so back to it!!

Paisley Motifs, Flowers, Spots and a Swami ~ AutoSkin

For the past three years Ritzenhoff have created some pretty funky designs for their annual competition (more detail when I post this as a project) really crossing over into a personalised AutoSkin. A great mix of colours with the black of the bonnet working in with the black in the design and then an explosion of colour. Paisley motifs, spots, flowers, a swami (swami is “He/she who knows and is master of him/herself”, “owner of oneself”, or “free from the senses” from Wikipedia); orange, pink and black laid up on a VW Beetle Cabriolet. Some cars just lend themselves to such a happy design with summer just around the corner …. pull back the roof and smile!!
