White Swirl Design on Grey Foyer Wall

I mentioned recently that we are creating a mini showroom for Wall Scrawl in our foyer.  This is our first  installation, leftover print from Gila’s White Swirl Design which was installed on a white wall in Gila’s pantry.   Here the same design is installed on a deep grey wall.  It clearly shows the different strengths of white used creating a layered effect.  Gila’s white on white can be used as a memoboard with a black dry erase pen however in the foyer the black scrawl would get lost in the background wall colour.  So here it can viewed as perspex art.

Residential Pantry Wall Scrawl

Gila liked one of the Wall Scrawl's we had on our website; a swirl design in white. She also like the idea of different strengths of white so we created printed three strengths of white @ 40%, 60% and full strength. We used white inks and printed on clear film to create 2 levels of transparency with the white ink. The end result is white on white on a background of white, offset from the wall to create lots of reflection from downlight above. A place to jot what's not in the pantry, a shopping list of sorts!!

Headland Machinery ordered 4 Wall Scrawls for their open warehouse space and boardrooms. For this application we reverse applied a layer of warm white semi opaque film to the Wall Scrawl and forme cut the Headland logo out of the film in the bottom right hand corner. The Boardroom Wall Scrawl needed to be large (2000x1500mm) to negate a fairly obvious mortar section within their brickwork. To break up the space a little we applied two sections of film; a large upper section where all the writing takes place and a smaller logo area section, that being low would tend not to be used. In other applications this keyline area could be highly designed with graphics, images and logos both in the home and office while keeping the main writing section clean for handwriting legibility. Thank you to Leanne whom I met yesterday when taking the photos ... the building at Headland was only built a year ago but the brickwork looks as though it has been their for years and works in well with the clean elements at play in a warehouse space including now 4 Wall Scrawls.

Using a numbering system 1 - 10 for each day of the week for a 6 week period, with the numbers each relating to a stage detailed in the lined memo section, Unleeshed can tick off stages completed and know where they are at with a given model and their client for each client promotion. Sounds detailed and it is having been custom designed for the specific needs of this business. The training schedule Wall Scrawls have now been completed and installed in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. Using the interlayer printed film, means that if changes are required in the future, we can print a new interlayer and send to the client for them to place between the two layers of 6mm acrylic - reducing the cost of removal of old film which in the past would have been reverse applied to the acrylic and reapplication of new material. Gives the whole basic double layer system integrity and longevity.
