Lahse allows some time for reflection, looking back at what’s been and forward at what’s to come. Embedded in the photo is a story of its own, a reflection of a reflection, reflecting. A tired man making his was back home with only his thoughts. I looked at this print for months before this was pointed out and now I definitely can’t look at it any differently. It’s fun how photos evolve in our mind. The story deepens, familiarises. Like taking a new route home from work only to take it so much that it becomes routine, and you can’t imagine driving any other way. Until one day you discover a new path and the cycle starts all over.
