Exhibition Graphics Installation
Client: National Gallery of Victoria
Install Length: 3 weeks
Key Elements: Wallpaper, Vinyl Wrapped Labels, Vinyl Cut Graphics.
Overview; The Bonnard exhibition at the NGV was a wallpaper-heavy install across a large gallery space — custom printed papers in bold patterns designed by India Mahdavi, wrapped around corners and across expansive walls. The focus was on precision: millimetre-perfect measurements taken ahead of production to ensure drop placement landed cleanly at every corner and join. The vinyl wrapped labels required a colour matching process so they integrated seamlessly with the surrounding wallpaper rather than sitting on top of it. Three weeks, working directly with the NGV team.
Key Install Points
The Bonnard job, for the most part was a breeze of an install.
Main focus points were any wallpapers that involved being wrapped around corners. Ensuring that drop placement allows smooth install.
To nail this it is key to make sure we get millimeter perfect measurements ahead of production.
Another point of interest was the labels. A colour matching process was undertaken ahead of production so that the labels had a seamless blend with the rest of the graphics.
